| 福慧二足尊 |
我們尊稱佛是福慧二足尊，「福」就是福報，「慧」就是智慧，福報跟智慧都圓滿了、都究竟了，就叫佛。所以學佛就是要學福學慧。

Buddha is the
most honoured one with merit and wisdom among men and devas. Merit is blessing,
meritorious virtue and behaviour are the good rewards. Wisdom is the insight;
the cognitive ability, the ability of eliminates doubts and knowledge. The
merit and wisdom are fulfilled. Then, it is called the Buddha. So, as a
Buddhist, we are learning merit and Wisdom like Buddha.
